Humana and Humana Medicaid Insurance
  • Humana now offers LabCorp At-Home COVID-19 test collection
    • For patients who are symptomatic and exposed to the virus, this test is available through LabCorp's Pixel online platform (https://www.pixel.labcorp.com/covid-19)
    • This test kit is physician authorized and allows patients to self-collect nasal swab specimens with step by step instructions.
  • Humana is also collaborating with Walmart Neighborhood Market pharmacies and Quest Diagnostics to offer drive-thru testing
  • Humana and Humana Medicaid is still waiving member costs related to COVID-19 tests
Laboratories
  • Currently we are able to send out lab tests for COVID-19 to Quest, LabCorp, Bioreference, and Diatherix.
  • Your insurance plan will depend on where the tests get sent. Some labs will not accept certain insurances.
  • Due to high demand and an increase of testing, many lab companies are experiencing some delay with results. Most companies should report results in 2-5 day, but it could take longer.
  • Paradise Pediatrics is also able to send to a lab company called Diatherix. This company will get results in 24 hours from the date of testing (it can possibly be up to 48 hours due to high demand and volume).
    • The Diatherix company is free for all medicaid plans
    • However there may be a $50 fee for service for those with private or self pay insurance. The company is still discussing this and the $50 fee may be waived in the future. Please be advised that there may be a charge for this rapid testing.
